Latin American High School Students Learn About CU Denver
The winter season was in full force throughout the United States, but it was a classically sunny day in Denver, Colorado, when 10 Brazilian students were welcomed for a tour and reception at the ESL Academy, University of Colorado Denver. The high school students had arrived from the state of Espirito Santo Brazil courtesy of U.S.- Brazil Connect, an organization that fosters educational connections between the two countries. Quoting British mathematician and philosopher Alfred North Whitehead, the Brazilian student took the microphone and spoke enthusiastically about knowledge gained and the value of others’ help in attaining success.
