Party Welcomes CU Denver First-Time International Students
As an international student, when you step onto the CU Denver campus for the first time, it’s expected that you’ll have many questions. What are the best available class times? Are there employment opportunities? What is like to live in the city? One question that you may have will be answered immediately – loudly and clearly – you are welcome here! Nothing exemplifies this better than the one of the first events of the semester: The International Student Welcome Party. Hosted by the Office of International Affairs, the Welcome Party is one of many festive events and cultural activities that are designed specifically for international students’ enjoyment and integration into the community experience. The Party kicks off your educational experience on a high note – with games, meet-and- greet socializing with other students, faculty, and staff, delicious international cuisine, and an atmosphere of pure Colorado fun.
CU Denver Internship Programs Abroad
Dr. Ruben Viramontez Anguiano well understands the dilemmas faced by today’s aspiring first-generation college students. The son of immigrant parents and a former first-gen student himself, Anguiano learned how to navigate through the world of academic admissions, scholarships, and higher education classes to successfully earn his doctorate degree in human development and family studies. Ultimately, he discovered how to navigate the world itself – and share his passion for educational experiences with University of Colorado Denver students.

CU Denver/CAU Celebrate Graduation & 23-Year Partnership
“I would like to honor the remarkable foresight of our partners at China Agricultural University, who had the vision to create the International College Beijing in partnership with the University of Colorado Denver in 1994 – 23 years ago,” said CU Denver Chancellor Dorothy Horrell at the June 27th ICB commencement ceremonies in Beijing, China. Each smiling student who walked the graduation stage to receive his or her diploma represented another good reason to celebrate this unique partnership, the first and only agreement of its kind in China. It was a powerful demonstration of the success of respectful cooperation and collaboration between two distinguished educational institutions.
