On August 12, an agreement between the University of Colorado Denver and the Ecologic Institute of Berlin formalized the start of a new semester-long program of applied research: Sustainability in Berlin. The University of Colorado Denver was one of three American institutions visited by a seventeen member educational delegation sponsored by the China Education Association for International Exchange (CEAIE), China’s professional association focused on the internationalization of Chinese higher education that conducts international educational exchanges and cooperation. A Tree Grows in Hayman

On April 27, 2013, ICB Economics students Jialin Cheng, Qiaoyue Liang, and Jiexin Yue took part in a tree-planting volunteer service activity in the Hayman burn area in the Front Range mountains southwest of Denver.
